Ti-Raleigh 1972-1983 Raleigh the Nottingham based bike manufacturer Sponsored a team of British riders under British management. There was a huge gulf between the UK and the continent and the team was out of its depth both in terms of experience and finance, they had alot to learn how teams where run, the riders where good .The jersey had a number of different co-sponsers over the years but the main design stayed the same for years and it still looks good today. TI stands for Tube Investments , which at the time was Raleigh's parent company. The team was first team to race in Lycra bib-shorts.
