Flandria for a long time was Flanders national team, and the team was a Flemish cycling institution. Flandria was a bike and motorbike manufacturer in West Flanders. The best models of their bikes were painted red with white panels on the downtube  and seat tube. The team became known as the Red Devils ,all trough the 1960s they were one of the three best teams in Belgium. Flandria hit financial difficulties in the end of the 1970s and stopped the sponsorship.

Peugeot 1963 to 1986. The Peugeot jersey is a design classic , Peugeot  bikes, not the car manufacturer, had the longest contionuous involvement of any top-level sponsor.  Peugeot was the team that Eddy Merckx had his first big professional win with, winning the Milan-San Remo in 1966 and 67. Tom Simpson and Merckx secored a one-two for the team in the 1967 Paris-Nice
